Herman Cain denies allegations of sexual harassment.  This is so reminiscent of what what they tried on Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.  When all else fails, they always seem to go for the sexual harassment.  Someone is getting really worried about Herman winning this nomination.  Hmmm. . . wonder who it could be??

▪ Herman Cain sings at he National Press Club – 10/31/11
Bringing half the room to its feet and leaving the other half stunned in their seats, Republican presidential candidate and frontrunner Herman Cain closed a press conference Monday by serenading the press. With prompting from the National Press Club president, Cain sang a gospel hymn, which appears to be the song "He Looked Beyond My Faults," originally by Dottie Rambo. He agreed to sing a few bars — to share his faith, he said. Cain sang: “‘Amazing Grace’ will always be my song of praise. For it was grace that brought me liberty. I’ll never know why Jesus came to love me so. He looked beyond all my faults and saw my needs…”

▪ Palm Beach conservative celebs Limbaugh, Coulter lead pushback on Cain story - Palm Beach Post, October 31, 2011
Conservative Palm Beach celebrities Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter are among those leading a furious pushback from the right against an anonymously sourced Politico.com report that Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain was accused of sexual harassment in the 1990s.

▪ Herman Cain Leads Republican Field in Two National Polls

This week's CBS/New York Times and Fox News national polls confirm Herman's staying power with 25 percent and 24 percent respectively of Republican primary voters choosing him as their first choice for the nomination.  With your support, Herman's momentum in the polls has quadrupled since late August with a jump of 20 and 18 percentage points respectively.  These polls are the first two major national polls to be released since last week's CNN debate showed Herman continued to lead the Republican field.

▪ Cain Says He’s In to Win, Not to Get on TV - National Journal

Cain is my candidate for President !!
If you are not already strongly committed elsewhere, hope you will support him, also.  You REALLY need to read his book to learn more about this American patriot of great faith and Christian values who truly loves this country. Click on book at left.

As you probably know, a few years ago he was diagnosed with colon and liver cancer - stage four.  It is, indeed, a miracle that he not only survived but is now cancer free.  As I have told him and many others, I feel that God spared him to serve a higher cause and help save our county.  Herman agrees and has this to say on page 96 of his book:
"Well, it's been more than six years since then (the cancer operation and chemotherapy). And guess what? I'm completely cancer free - Cured!  Why was I spared against those odds? God said, "Not yet!"  Did it have something to do with the Lord wanting me to survive so that I might help set this great nation of ours on it own path of recovery? I had achieved what I thought was my plan in life. My journey now is God's plan."
This brings back childhood memories of the book and movie, "God is my Co-Pilot".
I like to think that God is Herman's Co-Pilot who is guiding him on this greatest journey of his life. How else could this black man from the deep south with very little national recognition and no political experience have survived an almost certain death and moved up the ranks so fast in the Presidential race 2012.
I see it as divine intervention from Herman's Co-Pilot. This is just the  personal belief of a little old lady retired school teacher.   Bettye Chambers

The Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) trained under radical street organizer, and leader of the anti-capitalist #occupy movement, Lisa Fithian, to stage a protest march in Chicago on 10/10/11.
During this event, more than 20+ members of the CTU were arrested. THE NYT MAGAZINE SAYS THIS ABOUT FITHIAN

"You don't go to Fithian when you want to carry a placard," "You go to her when you want to make sure there are enough bolt cutters to go around."

BYRON YORK WRITES:

"Fithian is a legendary organizer who operates in the world of anti-globalism anarchists, antiwar protesters, and union activists...[SHE] played an important role in the violent shutdown of Seattle during the 1999 World Trade Organization meeting" -- (Thanks to John Eidson for sending this one.)

▪ Irate residents walk out on HOT lanes meeting
Monday Evening, October 24, 2011
By Camie Young (1057) - Gwinnett Daily Post

DACULA -- Sen. Renee Unterman said transportation and toll officials are unlikely to come back to Gwinnett after the angry reception they received at a town hall meeting Monday, when irate residents walked out, shouting to the leaders.

"They bamboozled us," Robert Thompson said as he walked out of the meeting, a GOP event where Unterman had arranged for talks about the controversial HOT lanes project, which has slowed traffic on Interstate 85 since tolls began earlier this month. "All they wanted to do was make speeches. What I wanted to hear is why we can't say to the federal government to go back to two-person (carpools using the lane for free)."

By Joshua Miller  - Roll Call Staff - Oct. 13, 2011, Midnight

. . .  " The tea party movement is strong in northern Georgia and will undoubtedly play a role in the race. It appears that Zoller has the early edge with those groups, having a long history with certain activists.

“Martha Zoller has been involved in the tea party movement since its inception,” said Julianne Thompson, the coordinator for Georgia Tea Party Patriots and a Zoller supporter. “She’s been at every tea party event that we have ever organized.” Thompson said “grass-roots activists all across north Georgia are very excited about her candidacy. ... She’s one of us.”

Collins said he also has tea party support and said his values are in line with the movement. . . All the dynamics at play make for a genuinely competitive field. " Read entire article

"Like the late Sen. Jesse Helms (R.-N.C.) in his years as a radio and TV editorialist, Zoller has long drawn fan mail urging her to keep speaking out and run for office.  University of Georgia graduate Zoller is also a part of community life in Hall County (the largest county in the district), working as an active volunteer in groups such as the Rotary Club and the African-American Foundation . . .

But for now, a bout looms large between Tea Party favorite Zoller and the establishment's Collins.  And with no major statewide contests, that should be the major event in Georgia politics in 2012. "  Read entire article

Education in Georgia --
Bad teachers not easy to oust
Jaime Sarrio; Staff
In Georgia, districts are often unwilling or unable to fire problem educators because state-provided job protection makes firings costly and complicated.

Four paragraphs in the Atlanta Public Schools cheating report detail how Damany Lewis used a razor blade to slice through the plastic protection on test booklets and then photocopy exams.

The Parks Middle School teacher admitted to cheating from 2006-2009, telling investigators he spent one to two hours a day altering tests. But three months after the report's release, Lewis and about 130 educators accused of cheating are still employed.  Read much more

MARTHA KICKS OFF CAMPAIGN WITH
PRO-TROOP + MAFPAC SUPPORT!
This weekend, our longtime friend Martha Zoller officially kicked off her campaign for congress in her own hometown of Gainesville, GA. We welcome her decision to run for office, something people have been asking her to do for years and, because we know she supports the troops, we pledge our support to her candidacy.

Martha's kickoff  event was well attended by veterans, military families, tea partiers and radio listeners, as she is a household name in the community.

"Every morning for the past 15 years, folks have turned on their radio and heard Martha's conservative message. People already know what she stands for." said her campaign manager Ryan Mahoney at the rally in downtown Gainesville.

At MAF we look for candidates who support the troops, that's our most important issue, and we know that Martha is a huge supporter of our military and their missions to keep America safe and free.
She's so committed that she's traveled to Iraq TWICE to help the troops and Gold Star families that she cares for so much!

Presidential Preference Primary for Georgia set for Tuesday,
March 6, 2012

S
ecretary of State Brian Kemp has announced that Georgia’s 2012 presidential preference primary will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2012.  Secretary Kemp was given the authority to set the presidential primary date via a modification to Georgia’s statutory code during the 2011 legislative session. Substantial rules changes by the RNC leading up to the 2012 Republican National Convention resulted in states that are “winner-take-all” states like Georgia not having the ability to hold their primaries without losing ½ of their potential delegates if the primary was held before April 1, 2012.

Behind the scenes, much planning and labor was completed by the Georgia Republican Party to facilitate this decision. Secretary Kemp worked closely with party leaders prior to his formal announcement. The GAGOP Rules Committee and State Committee convened to approve a rule change that allowed the Secretary Kemp the flexibility necessary to ensure that Georgia voters would remain a strong voice in the 2012 primary process as we select our next President.

Prior to the rules change, Georgia was a winner-take-all system and would have lost ½ of its delegates to the Republican National Convention in Tampa if the primary was held before April 1, 2012. The proposed change to the GAGOP allows Georgia’s delegates to be allotted on a proportional basis if the Georgia primary was held before April 1, 2012.

The GAGOP commends Secretary of State Brian Kemp for his efforts and diligence in the selection of March 6, 2012 as the presidential preference primary date in Georgia.
