race on Dec.
6, 2011
This special

GA Pardons

was recently
appointed to
this

a Hall
County
Commissioner
and has run
his own
business in
this area
for many
years.
Dunahoo
has
worked at
Robinson &
Harrison
Poultry and
is semi
retired. He
has never
served in
any elected
position and
is the
brother-in-law
of former
Rep. James
Mills.
. . . "The candidates also differed on issues of
immigration
and
education
Tuesday.
Godfrey
called
Georgia's
new
anti-illegal
immigration
bill a
mistake that
should be
revisited in
the upcoming

Reed, too,
said the

to be
improved.
Godfrey, Reed, Dunahoo and Sykes each
suggested a
Georgia-based
guest worker
program to
bring in
migrant
employees to
work in
Georgia's
agricultural

Banks said
he was not

▪
Why I am
supporting
Bobby Banks
for HD 25 in
this election
I have known
Bobby and Connie Banks for many
years and know that both are
true conservatives with strong
Christian family values.
In fact,
Bobby was
my county
commissioner
for four
years. One
four-year
term does
not make him
a career
politician
in my eyes
;- ) In
that
capacity he
was always
very
accessible
when I had
questions or
problems.
Bobby has lived in Hall County
for more than 35 years and has
raised a family and built his
life here. Bobby and Connie
have three sons and three
grandchildren and are active
members of Blackshear Place
Baptist Church. Bobby has
been a
strong
conservative
Republican
for many
years. Read more on his Facebook page.
Having a representative at
the Gold Dome who will
communicate with his
constituents on a regular basis
is most important
to me. Bobby has assured me
that he will use our new
communication tool -
E-newsletters - to keep us
updated on business at the
Dome. My former GA Representative has
never done this. We only
received a campaign mailer every
two years near election time and
perhaps one town hall meeting.
Mr. Dunahoo
does not
appear to
have any
experience
in
Republican
activities
and has
never served
in any
elected
office. His
website
highlights
his
activities
as an avid
sportsman
who loves to
hunt and
fish all
over the
country.
For the above reasons
I
shall be voting for Bobby Banks
again on
December 6,
2011 and
hope you
will, also.

ATLANTA -- Georgia Republicans are planning a GOP presidential debate in the days leading up to the "Super Tuesday" primary in March, chairwoman Sue Everhart announced Monday, November 14, 2011. Everhart said the debate is a signal that Georgia is recapturing its role as a national player in presidential politics. Georgia is one of about a dozen states that will hold primaries or caucuses on March 6.
"Hosting the 2012 Super Tuesday Republican presidential debate will ensure that the national spotlight shines on Georgia, one of the reddest states in our great nation," Everhart said after a fundraiser Monday. Martha For Congress
9th Congressional District
November 14, 2011 -- Just in update!
Saturday's "Martha for Congress Coalitions Rally" has been postponed until after the New Year. We appreciate the overwhelming support for this event but would like to accommodate the schedules of our Coalitions Leaders, Grassroots Leadership Team, Campaign volunteers, and supporters by hosting the event in early 2012. Please stay tuned for the new date, which will be released prior to the Thanksgiving Holidays.
November 9, 2011
It’s only Wednesday, but we’ve had a wonderful week thus far!
On Monday, Martha participated in her first debate hosted by the Conservative Business Alliance in Union County (Blairsville). Martha’s debate performance was stellar. Her knowledge of the issues coupled with a captivating style of delivery set her apart from Rep. Collins and solidified her status as the frontrunner in this race. We are super proud of Martha!
Yesterday afternoon, our brand new “Martha for Congress” sign was placed above the Campaign Headquarters. I hope this will reduce the amount of folks inquiring about spa treatment J
Speaking of the Headquarters, many of you mentioned donating/lending tables, chairs, office supplies, etc. at our meeting last week. If you would like to drop something off, please let me know and I’ll make sure that someone from the staff is at the headquarters. If you would like to schedule a pick-up from your home or office, please let me know that as well.
Just a reminder that the Coalitions Rally is at the Gainesville Civic Center on November 19th (10-12pm). Please invite your friends, co-workers, and neighbors. If you know of anyone that would be good in a leadership position, please pass on their contact information.
Finally, if you have anyone that is interested in donating, hosting a fundraiser, or putting together a “Martha’s Sweet Tea Party”, please let us know.

Deal fills top jobs with insiders 7 linked to Legislature get key state positions which pay six digit salaries By James Salzer - AJC - Nov. 6, 2011
One of Gov. Nathan Deal’s top priorities is to create jobs, and lately he has been doing just that — for lawmakers. Deal has appointed three state lawmakers and a former House member to six-figure jobs in the past two months. Overall, at least seven current or former legislators have gotten top state jobs since Deal took office in January. And officials say he is backing another former state lawmaker to run the Department of Transportation. Read the rest of the story

What an
embarrassment
to our

Most of
us are
sick and

we
really
resent

MARTHA KICKS OFF CAMPAIGN WITH
PRO-TROOP + MAFPAC SUPPORT!
This weekend, our longtime friend Martha Zoller officially kicked off her campaign for congress in her own hometown of Gainesville, GA. We welcome her decision to run for office, something people have been asking her to do for years and, because we know she supports the troops, we pledge our support to her candidacy.
Martha's kickoff event was well attended by veterans, military families, tea partiers and radio listeners, as she is a household name in the community.
"Every morning for the past 15 years, folks have turned on their radio and heard Martha's conservative message. People already know what she stands for." said her campaign manager Ryan Mahoney at the rally in downtown Gainesville.
At MAF we look for candidates who support the troops, that's our most important issue, and we know that Martha is a huge supporter of our military and their missions to keep America safe and free. She's so committed that she's traveled to Iraq TWICE to help the troops and Gold Star families that she cares for so much!

Presidential
Preference
Primary
for
Georgia
set
for
Tuesday,
March
6,
2012
Secretary of State Brian Kemp has announced that Georgia’s 2012 presidential preference primary will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Secretary Kemp was given the authority to set the presidential primary date via a modification to Georgia’s statutory code during the 2011 legislative session. Substantial rules changes by the RNC leading up to the 2012 Republican National Convention resulted in states that are “winner-take-all” states like Georgia not having the ability to hold their primaries without losing ½ of their potential delegates if the primary was held before April 1, 2012.
Behind the scenes, much planning and labor was completed by the Georgia Republican Party to facilitate this decision. Secretary Kemp worked closely with party leaders prior to his formal announcement. The GAGOP Rules Committee and State Committee convened to approve a rule change that allowed the Secretary Kemp the flexibility necessary to ensure that Georgia voters would remain a strong voice in the 2012 primary process as we select our next President.
Prior to the rules change, Georgia was a winner-take-all system and would have lost ½ of its delegates to the Republican National Convention in Tampa if the primary was held before April 1, 2012. The proposed change to the GAGOP allows Georgia’s delegates to be allotted on a proportional basis if the Georgia primary was held before April 1, 2012.
The GAGOP commends Secretary of State Brian Kemp for his efforts and diligence in the selection of March 6, 2012 as the presidential preference primary date in Georgia.

Base bails on Democrats in droves By Chris Joyner - AJC
Georgia Democrats enter the upcoming 2011 session of the General Assembly reeling from a series of defections and facing an uphill climb toward relevance. The once-dominant party holds 85 of 236 seats in the House and Senate, Democrats’ lowest ebb since Reconstruction. And the number has been slipping. Read entire article
