  ▪ Candidates for Congress from Georgia - Forum on Saturday at Lake Burton

What we learned from Saturday's GOP Senate forum
Political Insider -- By Greg Bluestein – AJC

LAKE BURTON, Ga. _ The Republican candidates for the US Senate participated in the first candidate forum up at Lake Burton on Saturday. Well, most of them, anyways. Reps. Jack Kingston and Paul Broun and former Secretary of State Karen Handel trucked up to northeast Georgia for the event, speaking to about 250 GOP activists. Rep. Phil Gingrey and businessman David Perdue were no-shows.

Here’s a few things we learned about each candidate from the debate, hosted by a group called Citizens Helping America Restore Government Ethics. Read more. . .

▪ FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Politics can be clean. Go see for yourself.
By Carole Townsend – Gwinnett Daily Post

I had the opportunity to go to a political rally of sorts this past weekend. Three of our state’s five senate candidates were there to share their stumping points, press some flesh, and just do what candidates do when they are competing for a seat. This race is a tight one, and every single vote will be earned and valued, that much is evident. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I made the rather long drive to the meeting spot. While I am a reporter, I am probably at best only a student of politics, certainly no expert.

The gathering of about 100 or so people was a friendly, yet very passionate one. It was patriotic, something I haven’t seen for myself in what seems quite a long time. I listened intently as questions were asked and each candidate was given the opportunity to answer. Truthfully, some of the answers sounded more like canned sound bites, dutifully regurgitated for the crowd and the media. Some sounded like heartfelt, well-thought-out solutions to the pervasive and growing problem that has become the corrupted, dollar-fueled behemoth of Washington, D.C. I am happy to say that I walked away from that meeting knowing exactly which candidate will receive my vote.

Nathan Deal addresses Common Core rift in GOP

By Greg Bluestein – Political Insider – AJC

You already know that Gov. Nathan Deal is in a tricky spot when it comes to Common Core.

He’s embraced the voluntary reading, math and writing standards despite growing opposition from his conservative base. The Republican Party’s state committee voted unanimously Saturday on resolution that said the program “obliterates Georgia’s constitutional autonomy.

And House Speaker David Ralston told the AJC he’s open to legislation that could withdraw or limit the state’s participation in the program.

On Tuesday, though, Deal tried to tamp down talk of imminent legislation. Pressed on his support for Common Core at a West Cobb Business Association luncheon, the governor said he’s talking with lawmakers about “what, if anything, we should do” to address the program. Then he launched into a spirited defense of the standards.

“I don’t have a problem with people having a concern with the federalization of anything, and I have concerns about that myself. I want to preserve the integrity of my state,” he said. “But at the same time I’m not willing to throw things that are appropriate and in place – and which we have already spent a lot of money on to train teachers – arbitrarily out the window. We leave our children in the lurch.”

After the meeting, as reporters pushed him to elaborate, he said Common Core’s benefits will soon be apparent enough.

“I have an idea that, for those who claim the Common Core is dumbing down standards, that the test scores will demonstrate the exact opposite of that. I don’t think any of us want to dumb anything down. I just want us to have a standard we can be proud of, we can hold our students accountable to, and something that can hold our teachers to an objective standard.”

And what of legislation from state Sen. William Ligon, the Brunswick Republican who backs legislation that would free Georgia of “private interests” such as Common Core that he views as threats to the education system?

“I’m still looking forward to a discussion with him. Because I think some of the things he’s citing are not factually correct. Like when he says that the federal government mandated that we have to adopt these standards. That is just factually incorrect.

Comment:  As a retired teacher who spent many years teaching in our public high schools, I am VERY much opposed to Common Core Standards in our Georgia school system.  This appears to be a way of more "dumbing down" of our young people so they are all indoctrinated the same in every state. Opposition to Common Core is growing in many states -- not just Georgia.   B. Chambers

Taxpaying citizen’ Barr joins chorus against Common Core

by Jon Gillooly  - Marietta Daily Journal
MARIETTA — During the public comment portion of the Cobb Board of Education meeting Thursday, former Congressman Bob Barr of Smyrna blasted the controversial Common Core standards as a packed room of supporters cheered.

The audience waving signs denouncing Common Core and wore T-shirts opposing the adoption of textbooks aligned with the standards, which they believe will cause the federalization of education and loss of local control. Barr described himself as a long-time taxpaying Cobb citizen, and “also somebody who has seen the jaws of the federal leviathan close up in a number of capacities.”  Read more

▪ Ted Cruz Exposes Amnesty Bill: $5000 Penalty For Hiring Citizens Over Legalized
   Aliens
 -- Dean Garrison – FreedomOutpost.com

PLEASE READ THIS AND VIEW VIDEO - click on video
We can’t possibly expect our Senators to read a 1200 page bill before voting on it. Can we? Well Thank God Ted Cruz read it. Not only did Cruz read it but he schooled anyone who would listen from the Senate floor on Tuesday. Cruz found a loophole that actually penalizes an employer $5000 for hiring a citizen over a legalized alien. Seriously. You can’t make this stuff up. Senator Cruz was quoted as saying:

“I filed an amendment that would have corrected one of the most egregious aspects of the gang of eight bill as it intersects with Obamacare legislation, namely a penalty imposed on U.S. employers for hiring U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents. This bill says if an employer hires a citizen or a legal immigrant, the IRS can impose a $5,000 penalty on that employer. But if the employer instead hires someone with RPI status, that penalty will go away. That is utterly and completely indefensible.”

“Nobody in this body wants to see African-American unemployment go up. Nobody wants to see Hispanic unemployment go up, youth unemployment go up, union household unemployment go up, legal immigrant unemployment go up. Yet every one of those will happen if this Gang of Eight bill passes without fixing this problem. If that happens, all 100 members of the U.S. Senate will be accountable to our constituents for explaining why we voted to put a federal penalty on hiring U.S. citizens and hiring legal immigrants. I hope this body will choose to pass my amendment and fix this grave defect in the Gang of Eight legislation.”   Read more

▪ Senate Passes Amnesty by Vote of 68-32, House Republicans Express 'Concerns'
   by Matthew Boyle of Breitbart.com

In the wake of yesterday's Supreme Court decisions on California's Proposition 8 and the Defense of Marriage Act, pastors are being challenged to pick up the banner and continue to fight for traditional, biblical marriage. The court sent Prop. 8 back to state courts saying supporters of the constitutional amendment defining marriage as one man and one woman do not have legal standing. In a separate ruling on Wednesday, DOMA - in part - was declared unconstitutional. ( See earlier article) Both were 5-4 decisions. Rev. William Owens, president of the Coalition of African-American Pastors, fears the rulings will only accelerate the erosion he sees in communities that are "already plagued with problems" and he believes is occurring in society in general. ▪ The Supreme Court’s Marriage Decisions by the Numbers

The morning after two important—and troubling—Supreme Court decisions in the Proposition 8 and Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) cases, here’s the lay of the land. The important takeaway: The marriage debate is every bit as live today as it was yesterday morning…and that means it’s time to redouble our efforts to stand for marriage across America. Some key numbers following the decisions:

50        The number of states whose marriage laws remain the same after the Court’s marriage decisions.

38        The number of states with laws defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman. That includes California, where the scope of today’s Prop 8 decision beyond the specific plaintiffs will be the subject of ongoing debate and, most likely, further litigation.

12        The number of states that can now force the federal government to recognize their redefinition of marriage. The Court struck Section 3 of DOMA, which means that it must recognize same-sex marriages in states that redefine marriage.  Read more

▪ Gay marriage gets big boost in two Supreme Court rulings

   By Lawrence Hurley - Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court delivered a landmark victory for gay rights on Wednesday by forcing the federal government to recognize same-sex marriages in states where it is legal and paving the way for it in California, the most populous state.

As expected, however, the court fell short of a broader ruling endorsing a fundamental right for gay people to marry, meaning that there will be no impact in the more than 30 states that do not recognize gay marriage.

The two cases, both decided on 5-4 votes, concerned the constitutionality of a key part of a federal law, the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), that denied benefits to same-sex married couples, and a voter-approved California state law enacted in 2008, called Proposition 8, that banned gay marriage.

June 26, 2013
As I predicted last night, Justices Kennedy and Roberts both betrayed conservatives today, and homosexualized "Marriage" in both cases of Windsor v. United States (striking down the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act), and Hollingsworth v. Perry (concerning Proposition 8 in California).

To be clear, both laws, DOMA and Prop 8 are still laws, still on the books, but they will not be enforced by any court. (Just as God's law still forbids sod omy, and always shall, but will not be enforced by any U.S. Court.)

Justice Kennedy cited our Founding Fathers (who are rolling over in their grave) to rule the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional under the Fifth Amendment, which says citizens shall "nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."

Kennedy essentially believes that "marriage equality" (which words are not in the Fifth Amendment) requires the federal government to issue federal homose xual bonus pay (including tax breaks, Social Security Benefits, etc.) to homose xual couples in all 50 states, although states may continue to deny state benefits in states where state law prohibits state benefits for couples not legally married in that state.

The full text of Kennedy's 5-4 ruling in Windsor v. United States is here. KENNEDY delivered the opinion of the Court, in which GINSBURG, BREYER, SOTOMAYOR, and KAGAN joined. ROBERTS, SCALIA (with THOMAS), and ALITO (with THOMAS) filed 3 separate dissenting opinions.

As I also predicted last night, Justice Roberts betrayed conservatives in the other case, writing that California Christians did not have federal standing to sue to defend Prop 8, the ballot initiative passed twice by California voters defining traditional marriage as only valid between one man and one woman. Because the California Governors refused to defend the law in court, Christians sued to defend the law. And although the California Supreme Court ruled they have legal "state standing" to sue, (i.e. they may appear in state court to defend the law), the Supreme Court ruled today Christians as private citizens do not have
"federal standing"
to sue or appear to defend the state law in federal court.

Since the California government will not enforce Proposition 8, and private citizens cannot sue, then homose xuals in California are free to "marry" each other, and obtain full state benefits, despite the existence of Prop 8 which remains California law, but is not being enforced by either the state or federal government.

The full text of Roberts' 5-4 ruling in Hollingsworth v. Perry is here. ROBERTS delivered the opinion of the Court, in which SCALIA, GINSBURG, BREYER, and KAGAN joined. KENNEDY filed a dissenting opinion, joined by THOMAS, ALITO, and SOTOMAYOR.

Friends, today is a shameful day in American history. When courts refuse to enforce good existing laws (including God's law), they give (by default) permission for sin to run wild across America. But when they claim the Founding Fathers somehow endorse sod omy, they have betrayed all that God and the Foundering Fathers ever stood for.

Let's continue to petition Congress, to enact a Constitutional Amendment defining marriage as Jesus did in Matthew 19, between one man and one woman.

God Bless you, in Jesus' name,

Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt, PhD

▪ Supreme Court Strikes Key Parts of Voting Rights Law (Update
   By Shira Toeplitz Posted at 10:25 a.m. on June 25 - RollCall.com

The Supreme Court has ruled key parts of the 1965 Voting Rights Act as unconstitutional, dealing a disappointing decision to minority voting rights activists and asking Congress to develop new guidelines for the landmark law.

The high court nixed Section 4 of the law, which established a formula for certain states to seek federal approval before making any changes to their voting requirements or laws under Section 5. Those covered jurisdictions had a history of racial discrimination when the law was first passed 5o years ago.

But on Monday, in a 5-4 ruling along ideological lines, the justices deemed that part of the law unconstitutional because the coverage formula is outdated.

“Sections 4 and 5 were intended to be temporary; they were set to expire after five years,” wrote Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. in his majority opinion, referring to the original law’s passage. Congress has reauthorized the Voting Rights Act several times since 1965, most recently in 2006. Read more

How "Gang of Eight" Amnesty Will Destroy America
LastResistance.com  - by Frank Camp

It seems like every other day, our country faces a crisis. Every time I turn around, the Democrats and faux Republicans are trying to dismantle our country by pushing massive, needlessly complicated bills that would make the United States weaker. They push legislation that would increase healthcare costs, cause Americans to lose their jobs, and ultimately make us all more dependent on the federal government. The entire time Barack Obama has been in office, he has been systematically tearing our nation apart at the seams. Now, with the help of useful idiots, like Marco Rubio, and John McCain, the Democrats are checking yet another item off their wish list: amnesty.

The Gang of Eight immigration reform bill has been doomed from the start. With weak-willed Conservatives teaming up with conniving Democrats, there was never really a chance in the first place. The Republicans have once again been manipulated. However, what’s even worse than the manipulation is the bill itself.

State GOP Adopts Resolution Opposing Regionalism

  Repeal Regionalism.com

June 25, 2013, Roswell, GA - This past weekend, the Georgia Republican Party State Committee met to complete the business of adopting resolutions. Key among them was a resolution opposing mandated regionalism.

Regionalism was thrust upon the state in form of the Transportation Investment Act of 2010, known as T-SPLOST, instituting regional governance and taxation.

Even though T-SPLOST was handily defeated in most regions last summer, the law is still on the books and can be reintroduced to the voters in the future. The Transportation Leadership Coalition believes another T-SPLOST referendum using the same flawed law will only produce more anger and distrust from the voters.  Read more

NSA has total access via Microsoft Windows
WND.com
'They can effectively compromise your entire operating system'

WASHINGTON – The National Security Agency has backdoor access to all Windows software since the release of Windows 95, according to informed sources, a development which follows the insistence by the agency and federal law enforcement for backdoor “keys” to any encryption, according to a report in Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin.

Having such “keys” is essential for the export of any encryption allowed under U.S. export control laws to foreign users.

The NSA plays a prominent role in deliberations over whether such products can be exported, and routinely turns down any requests above a certain megabyte level that exceeds NSA’s  technical capacity to decrypt it. That’s been the standard for years for NSA, as well as the departments of Defense, Commerce and State.

Tell Rep. Rob Woodall: Voting to Spend Another Trillion Dollars is Unacceptable

Yesterday, Rep. Rob Woodall voted in favor of the nearly $1 trillion food stamp and farm bill even though 62 House conservatives voted against it. Fortunately, thanks to those 62 conservatives, this disastrous bill was defeated, 195-234.

>> Ask why Rep. Rob Woodall voted for a nearly $1 trillion dollar food stamp bill.

Rather than siding with you, Rep. Rob Woodall chose to side with the Washington Establishment. With nearly $17 trillion in debt, we cannot afford another reckless, $1 trillion bill.

Interview: Senator Cruz on the Amnesty Bill
   RushLimbaugh.com

CRUZ:  Well, as you know, a lot of Americans are fed up. They're fed up with Democrats and they're fed up with Republicans. They're fed up with politicians in Washington who don't stand for anything.  And it's how we've gotten in this mess. It's how we've gotten $17 trillion in debt, and, if we keep doing business as usual, it's how we're gonna pass yet another amnesty bill that doesn't fix the problem. And I think Americans are really fed up with that and we need to stand up and stop it.

RUSH:  Would you explain to people why this is amnesty?  Because Congressman Ryan says he'll debate anybody that says it's amnesty, tell 'em it's not.  The gang says it's not amnesty. They say it's a pathway out of the shadows and to citizenship, but you call it amnesty.  Why is it amnesty?

CNN: Majority No Longer Trust Obama
   Breitbart.com by John Nolte  17 Jun 2013,

Over the course of just one month, President Obama's approval rating in the CNN/ORC poll has dropped a full eight points to 45%–his lowest rating in eighteen months. His disapproval rating climbed to 54%. On the all-important issue of trust, the president took a nine point hit. Only 49% of those surveyed believe Obama is honest. This is the first time he has been rated under 50% on this question and the lowest level of his presidency.

In worse news, back in 2006, only 52% of Americans disapproved of how President George W. Bush handled government surveillance of Americans. Today, a full 60% disapprove of Obama on the same issue.  Read more

Flag Day History

Flag Day (United States)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Date -- June 14

In the United States, Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened on that day in 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress.[1] The United States Army also celebrates the Army Birthday on this date; Congress adopted "the American continental army" after reaching a consensus position in the Committee of the Whole on June 14, 1775.[2][3]

In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14 as Flag Day; in August 1949, National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress.

Flag Day is not an official federal holiday. Title 36 of the United States Code, Subtitle I, Part A, CHAPTER 1, § 110[4] is the official statute on Flag Day; however, it is at the President's discretion to officially proclaim the observance. On June 14, 1937, Pennsylvania became the first (and only) U.S. state to celebrate Flag Day as a state holiday, beginning in the town of Rennerdale.[1] New York Statutes designate the second Sunday in June as Flag Day, a state holiday. [5]

Perhaps the oldest continuing Flag Day parade is at Fairfield, Washington.[6] Beginning in 1909 or 1910, Fairfield has held a parade every year since, with the possible exception of 1918, and celebrated the "Centennial" parade in 2010, along with some other commemorative events.

One of the longest-running Flag Day parades is held annually in Quincy, Massachusetts, which began in 1952, celebrating its 59th year in 2010.[7] The largest Flag Day parade is held annually in Troy, New York, which bases its parade on the Quincy parade and typically draws 50,000 spectators.[1][8]

Now feds want your mental health records

by Bob Unruh

Privacy experts are warning of a strategy embedded inside a federal plan to adjust privacy rules so that the federal government can access Americans’ mental health records as part of Barack Obama’s war on gun ownership.

According to the plan, the government would be told the details right away if anyone is sent to a mental institution for “mental defectiveness, or mental illness.”  Read more

▪ Message from Karen Handel, Candidate for U.S. Senate from Georgia

Dear Bettye --
My sincere thanks for your incredible encouragement and enthusiasm during these initial weeks of my campaign.  The campaign is off to a great start!
We received a couple of big boosts this past week. At the 20th Annual Fulton County GOP BBQ this past weekend, I won the straw poll by a significant margin:

Karen Handel: 42%Paul Broun: 29%  Jack Kingston: 23%Phil Gingrey: 4%
   David Perdue: 2%
Derrick Grayson: 0%
This win comes on the heels of finishing a strong first in the straw poll at the recent Georgia GOP State Convention. I appreciate all of the support that made this happen.

This Tuesday, it was off to beautiful Ellijay where a big surprise was waiting. The one and only Oscar Poole endorsed my candidacy in front of a great crowd at Sue’s Log Cabin Restaurant. I am honored to have his support – and now I get my very own sign on Oscar’s famous “Pig Hill” outside of Poole’s BBQ. Joe McCutcheon and many other friends from across NW Georgia, were on hand too. Oscar and Joe are such class acts, and I want to thank them for their support and unwavering commitment to conservative principles and America. I am proud to have earned their support.

Sadly, the mess in Washington continues to pile up. With each day, it becomes clearer that we simply cannot continue to do things the same old way. We need new leaders with fresh perspectives and renewed resolve to clean things up.

We cannot stand by and let our legacy to future generations be an out-of-control government, free-wheeling spending that we simply cannot afford, a massive debt, increasing government dependency, and diminishing freedoms.

To fix the mess in Washington and get America back on track, I need your help.

Please join our campaign by taking one of the following actions:
  ▪ Sign up to be part of Team Handel at www.karenhandel.com.
  ▪ Make a contribution to the campaign – every dollar counts.  You can contribute online at
www.karenhandel.com or send a check, payable to Handel for Senate, to 3970 Old Milton
Parkway, Alpharetta, GA  30005. (Because this is a federal race, only personal contributions
    are allowed.)
  ▪ Follow the campaign by liking us on Facebook and following us on Twitter
  ▪ Tell your friends and colleagues that you’re supporting our campaign and encourage them to
     join our team

Steve and I are so very grateful for your support and friendship. So spread the word. We’ll see you on the campaign trail.

Sincerely,
Karen Handel

Comment: Karen Handel, Candidate for U.S. Senate from Georgia, has my full support and also the support of  www.VoteRightGA.org. Like my friends Oscar Poole and Joe McCutcheon, I feel that she is the best candidate to fill this position.  I have known her for many years and trust her to live up to her commitments. She is courageous and will stand strong against the Rino Republicans in the U.S. Senate.  Karen is a true friend of the grassroots conservative Republicans in Georgia.  GO KAREN GO!  Click here to read more about Karen.

We've Been Played on Immigration
   Rush Limbaugh - June 13, 2013

RUSH: We go to immigration.  In a remarkable turn of events, all eight Gang of Eight members voted to table the Grassley amendment, to have control of the border for six months before the amnesty kicks in.  And, by the way, don't call it amnesty.  It isn't amnesty.  That's the latest claim from the powers that be.  The Grassley amendment to the Gang of Eight bill simply said we would gain control of the border for six months before any other aspect of the bill -- which is exactly what we were told was supported from the get-go.  That's exactly what we were told the condition was:  Border security first, or nothing.  Now of course that's out the window.  So is the Grassley amendment out the window with control of the border for six months.

And again, this despite the sponsors having -- I don't know.  I thought I was promised. I thought we were all promised that enforcement would be the key here.  I also thought there would be an open amendment process.  There's polling data that shows the American people want enforcement first by a 4-to-1 margin.  But none of this makes any sense.  Try as I have, I can't understand how it makes any sense.  I don't understand how the Republicans do not understand what they're doing to themselves with this.  I do not understand how it is they do not see what's happening.  I don't understand how they don't get what the Democrats are doing, how the Democrats are playing them.  I don't get it. Jay Leno Eviscerates ‘Snoop Obama’ in Monologue
   Posted on June 9, 2013   - Breitbart.com
If  Obama weren’t destroying our country this would be pretty funny. Check it out:

NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” Friday night monologue. Jay hits the feds from all sides: the NSA surveillance scandal; the IRS targeting scandal and the agency’s extravagant, million-dollar conferences; and the exploding national debt. Notice the difference in audience reaction for a Mitt Romney tax joke.

Secret program that began in 2007 extracts e-mail, audio, video, photos, documents, search history and logs.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Under watch from the National Security Agency and the FBI, people are being closely monitored by Silicon Valley Internet giants in a massive data-snooping agreement. The National Security Agency and the FBI are siphoning personal data from the main computer servers of nine major U.S. Internet firms, The Washington Post and the London-based Guardian reported Thursday night.

PRISM's existence was confirmed to USA TODAY Thursday night by an official with knowledge of some aspects of it.  The agencies are grabbing data from the servers of nine U.S. Internet companies including Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Facebook, PalTalk, AOL, Skype, YouTube and Apple, according to the documents. The surveillance program, dubbed PRISM and reportedly in existence since 2007, has not been publicly disclosed by the government agencies. Read more

Clues to the federal government’s reason for collecting the telephone records of millions of Verizon customers may be found in a recently unearthed 2010 project seeking to predict criminal activity using vast quantities of data on citizens mined from social network websites such as Facebook and Twitter.

IRS - The Stories Just Keep Coming!

▪ Dismantle the IRS

by Congressman Tom Graves of GA

Yesterday, I had the chance to grill the new IRS acting commissioner and the IRS inspector general about the targeting scandal. (Click here for more information and video from the hearing.) Their testimony confirmed that there has been little accountability at the IRS since the scandal came to light. Additionally, the inspector general said that IRS employees in Cincinnati refused to say who gave the orders to target conservative groups.

▪ IRS Chief says "Just Trust me"
Bob Unruh of World Net Daily

The new chief of the Internal Revenue Service, the feared federal agency now mired in scandal for its admitted targeting of conservatives and its lavish conferences, says he wants Americans to trust him.But one member of Congress says he has a plan that would permanently resolve the conflict between an administrative agency that has confessed to abusing Americans and Americans who are tired of being abused: abolish the IRS.

Danny Werfel, the new IRS chief appointed by President Obama in an attempt to tamp down the growing congressional scrutiny and outrage, appeared before Congress today and acknowledged that people who used to trust his agency now don’t. My primary mission is to restore that trust,” he said.

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, had an altogether different resolution.“I think we ought to abolish the IRS and instead move to a simple flat tax where the average American can fill out taxes on [a] postcard,” he told Fox News in a weekend intervienue.  Read more in Washington Times

Darrell Issa: White House Is Lying. Rogue IRS Agents 'Directly Being Ordered From Washington'

Darrell Issa (R-CA), Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, brought to light new testimony from Internal Revenue Service (IRS) employees on Sunday. On CNN’s State of the Union Issa pointed out the that the Obama administration’s claim about “a few rogue agents” being the ones guilty of targeting political enemies is patently false and his committee provided transcriptions, in which a Cincinnati IRS employee was clear in stating that they were ordered by Washington, D.C. personnel to heavily scrutinize Tea Party groups. After providing transcripts, Issa gestured towards the image of White House Press Secretary Jay Carney and called him a “paid liar.”  Read more and view video.
